There are some people who think that they will never be able to learn a second language. Some of them think that they lack the ability to learn or maintain what they have learned. Some people believe that it is too late for them to learn a language. Some find no time to study. These sort of reasons can go further. However, you can stop there and question your excuses. What I see is that if you really want it, you find a way and if you don't, you find an excuse. That can also be seen from the other way around. If you decide to learn it, then you will have your reasons and excuses against not to learn it. So it is only a matter of decision. I firmly believe that any person, who can speak one language can learn the second, sooner or later. I add this "sooner or later" part deliberately in order to give some space for personal traits, talent and motivation. Some people can learn languages quicker and easier than others because of the talent factor. However, this does not mean that others can never learn a foreign language. Some people can pick up and recall new vocabulary faster and figure out grammar rules better. These factors can shorten the period required to learn a new language and aid overall learning. However, all people who can speak have a talent for languages. It is just that when people don't know hot to approach to a language, they give up quickly because they cannot see the results immediately. If you also feel this way, you should change your thought patterns. You should rethink about your reasons to learn a particular language and list your reasons for this particular aim. By doing this, you can have more motivation to carry on. It is also important to remember that language learning requires patience. It is important and you should have this trait to be successful at almost everything . There are also times that where things go wrong or down. Such times can be frustrating but you shouldn't be that ready to give up. Language learning process can go down sometimes. Instead giving up, you should work harder and know that soon things will go up again and if you do it good, you can level up. Such times can be also good for making reforms and changes. They give you a chance to review your ways of learning and rethink about stuff. So don't let it down. Language learning is a process. Therefore, set things up into small portions. With a regular study, everyday you can progress. With determination and desire to know, you can reach to the level that you want.
